Thanks to all who came along to support the children in their harvest assembly at the end of last half term. The children all performed really well and we hope everyone enjoyed the afternoon. The donated goods were passed onto Radtsock Children`s Centre and used to support families in need. The fresh vegetables were turned into a hearty soup and the rest of the produce was all used – nothing was wasted. Thanks to all who contributed.

Thanks to parents who have already sent in some jelly moulds to help with Brunel Class`s food technology focus. More would be welcome, as would any cake stands, so that children can produce a massive Victorian tea party for the whole school.
Don`t forget to send in your booking forms for the consultation evenings.
As part of the fantasy season for the film club, we will be holding a village cinema screening of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (2010) – PG – on Friday 18th November at 6.30pm in the school hall. Admission is free.
Traffic, Parking and Driving
Can we make a plea on behalf of other road users ?We have received complaints from parents and other drivers about a number of developments lately.
- Please could parents drive slowly when picking up and depositing children ? We have had a number of near misses this year.
- Could we please try to observe the zig zag lines in front of the school ? The children are capable of walking to cars parked away from the school. We had to fight for 10 years to get the markings in place, please observe them.
- Please park with due care. Local residents report inability to leave their own driveways because of school related traffic.
We are powerless to enforce any of these restrictions, so can we just appeal to everyone`s better nature. After all – most of these rules are there to keep our children safe. Here endeth the lecture.
