Welcome back to all children and parents, and a special welcome to all who are joining us for the first time. In what promises to be another very busy year, we hope that the children settle quickly into their work and that we have an enjoyable time learing together.
We start swimming for years 2-6 this Thursday. We swim for half the year (until February half term). To cover the transport to and from Frome Leisure Centre we ask for a donation of £2.70 per week. This can be paid weekly or in a lump sum to cover a number of weeks.
7 weeks £18.90 to October half term
14 weeks £37.80 to Xmas
20 weeks £54.00 to cover all sessions

Brunel Class Trip to Sevington Victorian School
On Wednesday 12th October Brunel Class will be visiting Sevington Victorian School to experience what it was like to be taught in the Victorian times. We would like all the children going to dress up appropriately and some ideas of what the children could wear is set out below.
Girls could wear appropriate costume or a woollen shawl over a long sleeved blouse and mid length skirt, dark tights and sturdy shoes or boots. Overlong skirts are not authentic and they are difficult to walk and play in. Hats, cloth beret, boater or bonnet. Long hair was usually gathered from sides and fastened on top with the back hanging loose.
Boys could wear appropriate costume or cut off below the knee length trousers, long dark plain trousers, shirt, buttoned jacket or plain dark sweatshirt. Sturdy shoes or boots not trainers. Baker boy style caps would have been worn.
