Last Thursday we celebrated our school’s 140th birthday, after an exciting week of preparations. The children provided the entertainment for our guests with country dancing, reciting school poems and facts from 1877 and 2017. There was even a chance for audience participation when children invited their parents and other guests to join in the Circassian Circle dance. A special cake, made by Mrs Moor, was cut by our youngest and oldest pupils, Lewis and Jess. Later, following a very successful “Bake Off” competition, tea and cake were served in the School Hall and there was a chance to look at some photos from the School’s history and a display of children’s artwork.
